BlockBeats News, January 7th, Strategy's stock price rose nearly 6% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after MSCI announced it would temporarily not proceed with its plan to exclude DAT company from its index, but analysts say the crisis of its exclusion from the index is not yet over.

TD Cowen analyst Lance Vitanza said: "Consistent with our previous analysis, this clearly positive development has taken us by surprise, and it is not yet certain whether this represents a victory for the defense side or just a temporary halt in execution." According to FactSet data, Vitanza has a "buy" rating on MSTR stock with a target price of $500.

One of the most bullish analysts on the stock, Benchmark's Mark Palmer (with a "buy" rating and a target price of $705), sees this news as a positive development. "MSCI's decision has provided a welcome respite for Strategy company, and the company's argument against excluding the digital asset reserve company from the index seems to have had the desired effect. However, MSCI's decision to consider excluding non-operating companies from its index means that the storm is not yet over."
