Apple Releases First 2-Nanometer Chip M6 and Quad-Core M5 Ultra Chip
Apple has launched its first 2-nanometer chip, the M6, along with the quad-core M5 Ultra chip. The M5 Max and M5 Ultra are touted as Apple's most powerful chips to date. The new Mac mini features the M6 and M5 Pro chips, significantly enhancing artificial intelligence performance and boosting desktop computing capabilities in smart computing. The Mac Studio is available for pre-order today and will officially launch on September 22. The starting price for the Mac Studio equipped with the M5 Max chip is $2,499, with an educational price of $2,299; the Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra starts at $5,499, with the educational version priced at $5,099. The M6 chip features a 12-core CPU, a 12-core GPU, and dual 16-core neural engines. The M5 Pro version of the Mac mini starts at $1,699, while the educational version of the M6 starts at $899.
