Bank of America CEO Warns of Risks Posed by AI Model Mythos

Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan has joined the ranks of Wall Street executives expressing concerns over the risks associated with the AI model "Mythos" developed by Anthropic. He noted that this signifies a significant shift in workload, involving the speed at which tools can impact system vulnerabilities and the urgency of responding to them. Recently, the rapid evolution of AI models has prompted the financial industry and the U.S. government to assess potential threats. Anthropic claims that the Mythos model excels at identifying system vulnerabilities. Bank of America is one of the Wall Street institutions authorized to use Mythos, employing the model to test its own systems and share information with peers. Currently, the model is not available to the public. Earlier, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warned that making the system available to the public would be as dangerous as "handing a ballistic missile to an individual."
