Bitcoin Core Developers Discuss AI Application Lag Issues
Bitcoin Core developers discussed the team's progress on AI applications during their weekly meeting last Thursday. Steve Lee, head of Spiral, stated that donors and community members expressed concerns about the Core project, believing it has not adequately safeguarded against AI network threats and has not effectively utilized AI for code review, testing, and troubleshooting. This month, over 5,200 Bitcoin addresses have been hacked, resulting in losses exceeding 1,800 BTC; hackers exploited a vulnerability in the Coldcard wallet discovered by Kimi K3, and the CLN client urgently patched critical vulnerabilities due to a surge in AI-generated reports.
