Bitwise Raises Possibility of Bitcoin Reaching All-Time High in 2026
The bearish theory of Bitcoin's four-year cycle may be broken this year. Analysts suggest that if ETF fund inflows recover, corporate financial asset purchases increase, and seasonal strength in the fourth quarter aligns, a new all-time high could be possible. Ryan Rasmussen, head of research at Bitwise, stated that there is a high likelihood that Bitcoin will close this year with a positive return. He expressed confidence that the annual return will end positively and added that a new all-time high could be recorded in 2026. Recently, Bitcoin surged nearly 30%, and to turn the year-to-date return positive, it needs to rise about 10%. The flow of ETF funds shifted from outflows during the summer to inflows of billions of dollars in August and September. Macroeconomic uncertainties and geopolitical conflicts have acted as variables, while the rotation of funds into AI and the stock market has had a selling impact. Factors restoring investor interest include a slowdown in the stock market's upward trend, the spread of tokenization, and the regulation of stablecoins. Over the past decade, Bitcoin has shown the strongest performance among major assets, and the asset allocation conditions for long-term investors are also improving. Rasmussen predicts that once Bitcoin's momentum turns around, fund inflows into major cryptocurrencies will also expand.
