Bloomberg: UK Treasury Chooses HSBC Blockchain Platform to Pilot Digital Bond Issuance

BlockBeats News, February 12th, according to Bloomberg, as part of an update to the national capital market infrastructure plan, the UK Treasury has chosen HSBC Holdings Plc's blockchain platform to pilot the issuance of digital government bonds.
HSBC stated in a release on Thursday that issuing bonds through blockchain is expected to improve the structure of the UK debt capital market and accelerate settlement times. The statement also announced that its Orion platform has been selected for this pilot.
