Fear and Greed Index Rises to 69
The Fear and Greed Index for the cryptocurrency market has risen by 3 points to 69, entering the 'Greed' zone. According to Alternative.me, this index is calculated on a scale from 0 to 100, where lower values indicate stronger fear and higher values indicate greater greed. A score of 69 corresponds to the 'Greed' stage. The index reflects market volatility, trading volume, market momentum, social media activity, Bitcoin's market share, and Google search trends, primarily centered around Bitcoin (BTC). Currently, the survey items are temporarily suspended. This figure indicates that the sentiment among market participants has become more optimistic compared to the previous day. However, the Fear and Greed Index is not a direct predictor of price direction; it is a psychological indicator that compresses various market signals into a single number. While the index remains in the greed zone, one cannot definitively conclude additional movements for Bitcoin or the overall cryptocurrency market based solely on the index's rise. To assess the sustainability of market sentiment, it is essential to consider recent index changes alongside price and trading volume trends.
