Gamification in 'Mriya': Students Will Earn 'Dreams' for Homework
The educational ecosystem 'Mriya' is testing a new format to motivate students. Learners will be able to earn 'dreams' for completing homework, watching educational videos, and other beneficial activities, which they can then spend in the 'Shop' for real gifts. Under the new system, students will receive internal currency for completing tasks and other educational activities. Accumulated rewards can be exchanged for gifts from partners, including movie tickets and workshops. The 'Mriya' app will introduce three new elements: 'Dreams' - internal currency; 'Smartness' - daily quizzes; 'Shop' - a virtual space for exchanging rewards. In the first phase, the system will be tested in 100 educational institutions. Schools using the 'Mriya' ecosystem can apply to participate in the pilot. The 'Mriya' team will collect feedback to improve the mechanics. If successful, the system is planned to be scaled to all schools connected to the ecosystem. Partners will be able to provide goods or services as rewards. 'Mriya' is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Eastern Europe Fund.
