Kimi K3 Suspends New Subscriptions After 48 Hours, Future Membership System to be Split

By: rootdata|2026/07/19 15:02:11

Kimi has announced the suspension of new user subscriptions due to a surge in requests that significantly exceeded expectations within 48 hours of the Kimi K3 launch. The existing computing power cluster is nearing its capacity limit. Current membership benefits will not be affected, and Kimi will prioritize ensuring computing power for existing subscribers while accelerating expansion. Once the new computing power is in place, membership slots will gradually be reopened. Kimi will also adjust its membership system, requiring new users to separately purchase rights for the Kimi main product and Kimi Code, with the new programming packages using independent quotas and offering more tiers.
