Matt Damon to Speak at Ripple Swell 2026
Academy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Matt Damon has been announced as the keynote speaker for the annual event "Ripple Swell 2026," which will take place from October 27 (Tuesday) to 29 (Thursday) at "The Shed" in New York City.
This year's "Swell 2026" has been revamped as a large-scale event integrated with the developer-focused "XRPL Apex," becoming a major conference that encompasses everything from financial services for institutional investors to cutting-edge blockchain technology.
Matt Damon’s Appearance and Deep Connection with Water.org
Damon's participation is not just a publicity stunt. The non-profit organization "Water.org," co-founded by him and Gary White, has long collaborated closely with Ripple.
This organization has utilized Ripple's payment infrastructure and the USD-pegged stablecoin "RLUSD" to support microfinance initiatives aimed at introducing water and sanitation facilities in developing countries, enhancing the speed and transparency of international remittances.
While the details of the speaking topics have not been disclosed, it is expected that meaningful perspectives on financial inclusion using blockchain technology and practical examples of cryptocurrency in humanitarian aid will be presented on the day.
A Luxurious Agenda with Key Figures from Finance and Web3
The event will gather leaders from various fields, including traditional financial institutions, native cryptocurrency companies, and regulatory authorities.
Overview of the Event and Future Prospects
The venue will feature three stages with over 50 sessions planned, discussing a wide range of topics from tokenized assets, DeFi (decentralized finance), privacy, AI (artificial intelligence), to quantum computing and the utilization of XRP. Additionally, a summit for institutional investors and a hackathon are also planned to take place simultaneously.
