Ministry of Defense Announces Tender for Ground Robotic Complexes
The Defense Procurement Agency DOT has begun procurement of ground robotic complexes (GRC) based on the tactical and technical specifications established by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It is planned to purchase two types of GRC: logistical ones for transporting cargo and evacuating the wounded, as well as strike ones for targeting. The complexes must operate in rough terrain, provide remote control, and transmit video and data to the operator. Since the beginning of 2026, GRCs have completed over 100,000 missions. Manufacturers whose products meet the requirements, including having at least one coded product in the GRC category, can participate in the tender. The complexes are divided into classes based on operational range and cargo weight, with 4 or 5 lots in each class. One manufacturer can receive no more than half of the order within one class. Deputy Minister Myroslav Banik noted that distributing the order among several manufacturers will increase competition and reduce the risk of supply disruptions. The procurement will take place in a closed environment with security requirements observed. The conditions for participation and the list of documents have been published on the official website of the Agency. On August 21, the DOT announced a tender for the procurement of deep strike UAVs for targeting objectives in enemy territory.
