NVIDIA: New Rubin Chip Making Good Progress, Helping Accelerate AI Performance
BlockBeats News, January 6th, NVIDIA (NVDA.O) announced that its highly anticipated new "Rubin" data center product will be launched later this year, allowing customers to try out the technology to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence. NVIDIA stated that all six Rubin chips have been delivered from manufacturing partners, passed several key tests, indicating that they are progressing with customer deployment as planned. Its latest Rubin accelerator improves training performance by 3.5 times compared to the previous-generation Blackwell and speeds up the operation of AI software by 5 times.
The company emphasized that the operating costs of Rubin-based systems will be lower than those of Blackwell-based systems because they achieve the same effect with fewer components. It is reported that Microsoft and other major cloud computing service providers will be the first to adopt this new hardware in the second half of this year. (Golden Finance)
