RideFlux has secured 100 registered patents in the field of autonomous driving software. The company announced on the 12th that it has completed the registration of its 100th patent. It has developed its own technology across all areas of autonomous driving software, building a patent portfolio centered around AI algorithms. The 100th registered patent is an AI technology that automatically constructs precise maps using real-time LiDAR data, mapping the geometric elements of roads and automating the labeling process to reduce construction time and costs. This patent has been recognized for its novelty and progress, surpassing prior patents from China's Baidu and the U.S.'s DeepMap. As of July this year, there have been 148 patent applications and 100 registrations, with a patent registration rate of 95.06%, which is higher than the overall registration decision rate of 74.6% from the Intellectual Property Office. RideFlux is currently conducting autonomous driving test operations based on a permit for unmanned driving in South Korea and began paid cargo transportation with autonomous trucks in partnership with Hanjin Delivery on July 1. The company plans to transition to fully unmanned autonomous driving by 2027. Additionally, it is expected to submit a preliminary listing application to the Korea Exchange within this month.
