On August 9, the Russian army launched a massive strike against the assets of the Naftogaz group in the East, West, and Central parts of Ukraine, resulting in significant destruction and the disabling of some equipment. Russia continues to attack Naftogaz enterprises, including the extraction assets of Ukrnafta and drilling sites. Dozens of strike drones were deployed, operations were halted, but no workers were harmed. On August 7 and 8, seven gas stations of the UKRNAFTA network in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions came under attack, and as a result of one of the strikes, a gas station worker was injured and is currently in the hospital. On August 8, Naftogaz production facilities in the central part of the country were also attacked, where personnel were in shelters. Acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz, Sergey Fedorenko, noted that the intensity of attacks on oil and gas infrastructure has increased, jeopardizing preparations for the heating season.
