BlockBeats News, January 6th. Incarcerated FTX founder SBF posted on social media, comparing Venezuelan President Maduro with former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández (JOH), directly accusing the US and Western liberal media of having clear double standards.

SBF stated that both leaders governed under a "narco state" background, but JOH cooperated with the US to combat drug trafficking, peacefully transferred power after his term ended; while Maduro was accused of collaborating with drug cartels, disregarding election results, and moving towards dictatorship. SBF also pointed out that the US arrested and extradited JOH after his term ended, while, similarly, after Maduro refused to acknowledge the election results, they chose to arrest him and extradite him to the US.

He questioned the liberal media's criticism of the "legitimacy of arresting Maduro in Venezuela," asking why the media remained silent when the US arrested JOH in Honduras and alleging that these media outlets' fundamental reason for supporting Maduro and opposing JOH was that the former was opposed by Trump and the latter had been pardoned by Trump. SBF concluded by stating that this is not a "rule of law issue" but a narrative driven by political positions.
