Strategy Announces Plan to Expand Bitcoin Accessibility to 8 Billion People
Strategy has presented a long-term vision to expand the number of investors who can access Bitcoin (BTC) to 8 billion worldwide. This initiative aims to provide indirect investment routes through traditional financial products for investors who find it difficult to hold Bitcoin directly. Strategy's CEO, Pong Le, stated that they plan to offer more investors exposure to BTC prices by utilizing financial products such as stocks and preferred shares. Strategy's preferred share product is a security with no set maturity, and dividends are paid according to conditions set by the issuer. Last year, they raised approximately $2.521 billion through the STRC IPO, with some funds used for BTC purchases. Currently, Strategy holds 840,550 BTC, having recorded the purchase of 4,603 BTC at an average price of $80,318 as of August 31. However, the goal of reaching 8 billion does not include new BTC purchase plans or immediate market events, and national securities regulations will play a key role in expanding accessibility.
