Tempo Launches Receive Policies Feature to Restrict Tokens and Sender Addresses

By: rootdata|2026/07/14 02:48:11

The payment blockchain Tempo has launched the Receive Policies feature, allowing accounts to restrict the types of tokens and sender addresses that can be received at the protocol level. This feature is optional, enabling accounts to configure acceptable asset types, permitted sending addresses, and recovery permissions for rejected transfers. If a transfer does not comply with the receive policies, the transaction can still be successfully executed at the protocol level, but the funds will be routed to a guardian mechanism and a receipt will be generated for processing by a designated recovery party. This feature is applicable in scenarios such as exchanges, custodians, payment channels, and deposit channels, effectively preventing unrelated assets from entering accounts and transforming rejected transfers into manageable recovery processes rather than asset losses.
