Tether leads $14 million Series A funding for Latin American digital wallet Belo
Latin American digital wallet Belo has completed a $14 million Series A financing round, led by Tether, with participation from Titan Fund, The Venture City, Mindset Ventures, and G2.
The funding will be used to expand into Latin American markets such as Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, and to enhance the infrastructure for stablecoin payments. Founded in 2021, Belo offers wallet services that combine local currencies with digital dollars, and currently has over 3 million users. This financing also reflects Tether's increased commitment to expanding the application of stablecoin payments in emerging markets.
