Trader Eugene: The bull market cycle is coming to an end, and my own ETH trading journey has effectively concluded
BlockBeats News, August 24th, Trader Eugene Ng Ah Sio posted in his personal channel indicating that it seems we are now at the culmination of the bull market cycle that started in January 2023—I expect this phase to last no more than a few months, with every global marginal buyer to some extent pivoting towards and buying into cryptocurrency, with Bitcoin and Ethereum both reaching new all-time highs. The high target I set for myself of an Ethereum/Bitcoin exchange rate of 0.04 has also been achieved, signaling to me that ETH trading has effectively concluded.
I will no longer adopt an aggressive strategy—no more large-scale Martingale momentum trades. The strategy focus is shifting from capital accumulation to capital preservation. I am likely to miss out on any ensuing frenzy in the market, but that's okay because these fluctuations no longer align with my trading system. This does not mean I have exited all positions and gone short (on the contrary, I am still holding long positions), but the net position size has been significantly reduced. I will use the mNAV indicator of the cryptocurrency treasury reserve company as a signal for when to confidently re-enter the market, expecting that when this cycle is complete, most DAT trading prices will be below 1 times the mNAV.
We've experienced a good run, now it's time to return to real life.
