Ukraine's Agricultural Exports Fell by 41.5% in August

In August 2026, Ukraine's agricultural exports amounted to approximately 2.15 million tons, which is 41.5% less than in July (3.67 million tons). This is the lowest result since the beginning of the year. From January to August, exports totaled 36.9 million tons. In August, 1.78 million tons (83%) consisted of grains and oilseeds. Grain shipments fell 2.7 times from 2.67 million tons in July to 988 thousand tons in August. Exports of oilseeds increased nearly 3.7 times to 329.5 thousand tons. Corn exports amounted to 305.7 thousand tons (4.2 times less), barley - 68.7 thousand tons (4.3 times less), wheat - 612.7 thousand tons (73% less), and rapeseed - 292.6 thousand tons (15.1 times more). Exports of vegetable oils decreased by 14% to 279.3 thousand tons, sunflower oil - by 43.1% to 147.1 thousand tons, and rapeseed oil - increased more than 4 times to 95.4 thousand tons. Soybean oil shipments fell by 16% to 36.6 thousand tons. Exports of meal remained stable at 187.2 thousand tons. A rise in agricultural exports to 2.0-2.1 million tons is expected in September.
