Ukraine's Agricultural Exports to the EU Increased by 11%
In the first six months of 2026, the trade turnover of agricultural goods between Ukraine and the European Union grew by 11% (by $847 million) compared to the same period last year, reaching $8.55 billion. Ukraine's positive trade balance increased to $3.47 billion due to a rise in exports (+$624 million), which significantly exceeded the growth in imports (+$221 million). The main trading partners of Ukraine in the agricultural segment remain Poland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, and France, accounting for 70% of the total value turnover. Since the beginning of July 2026, Ukrainian farmers have fully utilized the annual quota for wheat. A high level of utilization has also been recorded for other items: apple juice - 91%, poultry meat - 75%, eggs in shell and egg products - 75% each, ethanol - 64%, honey - 61%, sugar and sugar corn - 59% each. Difficulties in using sea routes are prompting Ukrainian companies to actively attract transit European routes.
