BlockBeats News, July 30th, according to CNBC report, artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is in negotiations with investors to raise $3 billion to $5 billion in a financing round led by Iconiq Capital, with a company valuation of $170 billion. As a competitor of OpenAI, Anthropic's valuation has grown rapidly in the past few months.

In March of this year, the company raised $3.5 billion in a financing round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with a valuation of $61.5 billion at that time. Despite Anthropic's CEO Dario Amodei previously warning of the national security risks of accepting investment from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, leaked memos indicate that he is now reconsidering accepting Middle Eastern funds.
