SlowMist Discovers Recruitment Scam Targeting Web3 Professionals
SlowMist has uncovered a recruitment scam targeting Web3 professionals, where attackers impersonate recruiters to lure victims into installing an AI meeting software called "Relay," which is actually an information-stealing malware. This malware targets macOS and Windows users and is capable of stealing sensitive information such as browser credentials, cryptocurrency wallet data, Keychain data, and Telegram conversations. SlowMist has completed sample analysis and disclosed the operation of the attack chain. SlowMist advises caution when participating in online interviews or recruitment processes, recommending that individuals refrain from installing unfamiliar software, avoid running unverified applications, and be vigilant about unusual installation requests or system password prompts.
