Sei Mainnet Completes v6.6 Upgrade, Giga Plan Launches Two Upgrades
Prefer us on GoogleSei has announced the completion of the v6.6 upgrade for its mainnet, marking the largest version upgrade since the addition of EVM support in May 2024. Two of the three major upgrades in the Giga plan have officially launched. Specifically, the "Ares upgrade" has been initiated, with the gradual decommissioning of the v2 executor; the "Eidos upgrade" has also started, achieving the separation of two years of on-chain state and migrating EVM historical data to an independent database, no longer sharing with the Cosmos state. Additionally, this upgrade has fixed over 30 issues and optimized node synchronization efficiency, consensus timeout parameters, error-prone configuration items, and data pruning mechanisms, while also improving developer-related features such as receipt generation, JSON-RPC error handling, and historical call tracing.
