Although they are already known as economical alternatives, buying clothes and accessories on virtual platforms can be much more convenient when all the available benefits are known. Among them, Shein has a system of virtual credits that lowers the cost of each order and can also be combined with other promotions.
In addition to welcome discounts and temporary offers, there is a way to earn bonuses through various actions within the account. Therefore, if the defined expiration dates are taken into account, these credits can turn into dollars saved on each order.
The Shein points work as a free virtual currency that the platform gives to its users to discount part of the value of future purchases. Every 100 points equals u$s1, or its proportional value according to the currency of the place from which the purchase is made. To credit that balance, the company offers various alternatives for each user to accumulate credits through regular use of the app and website.
One of the easiest options is to verify the email address after creating the account, as this step gives you 100 points once. There is also a daily check-in system within the app, so by logging in every consecutive day, new points can be accumulated, although the cycle starts over after the seventh day.
Purchases also generate rewards; once the receipt of the order is confirmed, Shein credits 1 point for every dollar spent, as long as the user correctly validates the delivery from their account. Reviews can also be left on the received products, for which the platform gives:
There are also other promotional activities, such as participating in Shein Live broadcasts, answering surveys, entering contests, or even being part of certain special events that appear within the app. Additionally, those who create an account can access a 45% welcome discount, an additional 20% on the first shipment (which is usually free), and start accumulating points from registration.
Although the points work as virtual money, their application has limits. The main one is that they can only cover up to 30% of the total value of the products included in the cart. It should be noted that credits do not apply to shipping costs, taxes, fees, or additional insurance.
Before finalizing the purchase, the cart should be reviewed to check sizes, colors, quantities, and delivery address. This is also the right time to incorporate coupons, current promotions, and available points, as all compatible discounts are applied before payment.
Each regional Shein page manages an independent balance, so the accumulated points appear only within the section "Points" corresponding to the version of the page from which each user operates. Depending on the category of the benefit received, points can expire between 7 days and 3 months. Once expired, they automatically disappear from the account.
The platform also sets a daily credit limit, and when a user reaches that maximum, they can continue participating in games, events, or promotions, although they will no longer receive new points during that day. If an order is canceled or returned, Shein automatically adjusts the balance. The points used for that purchase or those obtained from that operation are recalculated proportionally, according to the final resolution of the process.
